The Lighthouse of Koh Lanta

Hi…..everyone there again !!! How have you been ? We hope you have a happy & wonderful life. The show must go on, right ? Today, the topic is “The Lighthouse of Koh Lanta”, or officially named “Patchachot Vachirapa Lighthouse”, which is like a symbol and a viewpoint of Koh Lanta on Lanta Yai Island in the Mu Ko Lanta National Park. It is located at Tanote Cape. There are no accommodations, hotels, resorts or shops here, and the entire area is maintained by a national park, which is open to tourists to see the beauty of Laem Tanode Beach. It looks beautiful and unusual because this place is full of palm trees. At the end of the island, it is a rich rainforest and…there are nature trails. The most prominent point is “The White Lighthouse”.

This place can be considered as one of the most beautiful spots because it is the intersection between the 2 sides of the sea. If anyone has already gone up to the lighthouse, it seems a bit difficult, but it is worth it. There is a very beautiful view and makes you see the surrounding area 360 degrees. If you don’t come here to take pictures, you are considered a mistake & have not arrived on this island. There are many angles to choose from. The duration of the stay at this place is 1-2 hours. It is a small lighthouse where the corridor is a little steep, but only for a short time.  If you’re an elderly person, you need to be careful. Walk up to the end and you’ll see a 360-degree view, which is very beautiful. And…you need to prepare some sunscreen cream because the sun is super hot.

Finally, we feel appreciated that you’re still here to support us. Thank you very much indeed. We wish you lots of  brightness, happiness & friendship !!!

Khao Mai Kaew Cave

Hello…..everybody there !!! How are you doing ? We hope everything is okay with you. Life is such an exciting adventure right now, isn’t it ? So, let’s try to visit this place, shall we ? The topic for today is “Tham Khao Mai Kaew” or “Khao Mai Kaew Cave”. “Khao Mai Kaew” is the name derived from a large number of Orange Jasmin trees (Andaman Satinwood) in Mu Koh Lanta National Park. It is located at Moo 6, Koh Lanta Yai Sub-district, Koh Lanta District, Krabi Province. It is a tourist attraction, the atmosphere of the forest & hill. This place is a cave that is worth visiting to experience nature. It is a beautiful stalagmite-stalactite cave and home to the National Park Protection Unit at Lanta 4 (Khao Mai Kaew) near Klong Nin village. Then turn right for about 2 kilometers and walk on foot about 1 kilometer to visit Khao Mai Kaew cave.

“Khao Mai Kaew Cave” is a big and complex cave. Even stalagmites & stalactites are not very beautiful, but the very attraction of this cave is the adventure by climbing through the rock crevices inside the dark cave. It also consists of dozens of beautiful and unusual caves such as Diamond Cave, the Cave of the Ground, Tunnel cave and Nam Lod cave, etc. And…on the way up to the cave, there is a small waterfall called “Ton-mai-Kaew”.

The journey to Khao Mai Kaew Cave is very exciting because you have to climb the mountain and the cliff every now and then. But, the feelings of tiredness will disappear when you enter the cave. Inside the cave is still very natural if it is compared to other places. Everyone who enters must have a flashlight and a guide to take care of and guide everything.

Tourists visiting Klong Nin Beach can change the atmosphere from swimming in the sea to experience adventure, traverse caves, see the green scenery of the forest that is still intact, even if there is no beauty of stalagmites and stalactites inside the cave to see, but the nature and atmosphere around it can be enjoyed as well.

Visitors can choose to ride an elephant to explore the rainforest of Koh Lanta and enter the mysteries of Khao Mai Kaew Cave, or choose to walk and climb with vines on both sides of the pathway until you reach Khao Mai Kaew Cave. And…then enjoy a small cave under the lights provided by your guide. The cave entrance will be guided by a guide. Guided tours are charged at a reasonable price about 30-50 baht per person. But, if you are thinking of saving on walking around each other, you may get lost and go to the wrong cave. What cannot be forgotten is the rules that the guide has told us, before taking us to see the beauty of the cave. It is certainly for the safety of all adventurers. Ultimately, we’d like to thank you very much for your kind attention here. We wish you lots of love & laughter !!!  Bye-bye now, see you…!!!

Rok Islands

Hello…..there !!! How’s life ? We hope you have a happy & wonderful living. As usual, it’s time to present the new topic. It is “Koh Rok / Rok Islands”. If you mention the attractions of Krabi province that are very popular with tourists, many people will think about the beautiful seascape,  clear waters, white sandy beaches. One of them is “Koh Rok”, which is nicknamed “the Queen of the Andaman” because of its long and smooth sandy beaches. The waters are crystal clear, and there are plenty of shallow corals and beautiful marine fish to dive into the underwater world. Recently, it was announced that the tours will be open from October 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.

Koh Rok has been declared a part of Mu Ko Lanta National Park consisting of 2 islands, Koh Rok Nai and Koh Rok Nok. The side facing each other is a sandy beach, separated by a shallow sea trough, the distance of the islands is about 250 meters. In front of Koh Rok Nok, there is a fine white sandy beach stretching from the head to the end of the island. People who like to walk & release your feelings along the beach, or even anyone who wants to jump in the water can do so. The highlight of the Rok Islands is the coral reef around the island and along the waterways. Most of them are chunks of corals. There are many sea anemones & clownfish. In the deep areas, soft corals are also found, but in small numbers.

Koh Rok is a paradise for divers, both deep and shallow water. The eastern coral of the island is full of abundance, including antler coral, brain coral, disc coral, colorful anemones and clownfish. In addition, there are also frequent reports of whale shark sightings in the area of  Red Purple Stone, the waters on the outskirts of Koh Rok. That makes the divers dream of getting up close. The main diving spots of Koh Rok are on the beach in front of Koh Rok Nok and on Koh Rok Nai in the channel between islands that extends all the way to the sea in front of the shrine beach.  These two are beautiful coral dive sites.  In the evening, you can also see the beauty of the last light of day at Hin Ngam Bay. As for the sunrise, just wake up a little early to see the first rays of the day in front of the tent.

Koh Rok is in Krabi waters that connect to the Trang Sea. It is a small island set side by side, an island with a long sandy beach. Fine sand is soft to the touch of white sand. The tourism atmosphere of Koh Rok is suitable for those who love to find beautiful, quiet and romantic views of nature. There are beautiful beaches and the sea is very shallow and clear. Coral reefs rich in sea anemones and especially, are home to orange and yellow clownfish, which the bright colors make everyone love them. Scenic viewpoint of Koh Rok, you will see a picture of the bay curved like a horseshoe. On both sides of the bay are steep rocky cliffs. It offers a view of Koh Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai and is another very beautiful sunset spot.

“Koh Rok Waterfall” is a natural beauty in the middle of the Andaman Sea, considered another wonderful tourist attraction of the Andaman Sea. It is an island in Krabi and Trang provinces by taking care of Mu Ko Lanta National Park. It can be reached from both Krabi, Trang and Phuket.  As a paradise for divers, “Koh Rok Waterfall” is also another tourist attraction that should not be missed because one year will only be seen for 1-2 months. From mid-October to late November, the chances of seeing them are only for a short time before the waterfall dries up.This has occurred naturally for a long, long time.  Finally, we’d like to thank you for spending your precious time here. We wish you all the best !!! Goodbye now….., see you !!!   – “ When you smile, the world will smile with you.”   :))

Phi Phi Island

Hello…..everyone there….!!! How are you keeping ? We hope you are very well. We have an interesting topic to introduce you today. That is “Koh Phi Phi or Phi Phi Islands”. They are located in the middle of the Andaman Sea, 42 kilometers away from Mueang Krabi District, Krabi Province. It is a part of Nopparat Thara Beach-Phi Phi Islands National Park which contains  2 big islands: Koh Phi Phi Don & Koh Phi Phi Le, and 4 smaller islands nearby: Koh Yung, Koh Mai Phai, Koh Pida  Nok & Koh Pida Nai. They are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The islands are reachable by ferries, speedboats or long-tail boats, most often from Krabi Town or from ports in Phuket Province.

Phi Phi Don Island and Phi Phi Le Island are the culmination of the main attractions. It is characterized by an cove or a big bay with clean & white sandy beaches that are worth swimming and coral reef watching. Phi Phi Don used to be one of the top 10 most beautiful islands in the world. There are also accommodations, restaurants and complete facilities. Phi Phi Island also consists of 2 bays that are twin coves: Ton Sai Bay and Loh Dalum Bay, separated by small plains and shady with coconut trees. The highlight of the island is the world’s most beautiful twin coves of Ton Sai Bay and Loh Dalum Bay. There are a number of accommodations and shops available. From Ton Sai Bay, you can walk up the mountain to the viewpoint overlooking the twin coves.

Most of tourists visiting this island come to dive, snorkeling, and see beautiful sea anemones & colorful fish. These beautiful islands have plenty for you to photograph, discover, explore, and their natural beauty will be sure to incite a sense of  wonder in you. The waters surrounding the  Phi Phi Islands are filled with exotic marine life, including docile leopard sharks. And… snorkeling & diving day trip rival lounging on the beach as top activities on Koh Phi Phi.

Koh Phi Phi also feathers a vibrant “Nightlife” with Tonsai Beach containing dozens of beach bars & restaurants and lively Tonsai village consisting of a maze of shops, bars and restaurants. Smaller beaches around the Island are alternatively ideal for honeymooners, families those on budget, and those looking for the ultimate luxury resort retreat.

Koh Phi Phi Le was feathered in the Hollywood blockbuster movie “The Beach”, a story about the ultimate secluded Island beach. Maya Beach was a suitable choice as it epitomizes the stunning beauty of these islands: a bay of pellucid aquamarine water surrounded by towering limestone cliffs that harbors an arcing, white sand beach.

Pileh Bay/ Lagoon is one of the highlights of Phi Phi Islands. The inlet in the middle of the sea is surrounded by cliffs almost 360 degrees high, and the turquoise water is calm, clear and playable without waves. It is comparable to a swimming pool in the middle of the sea. Before becoming a famous tourist attraction today, Pileh Lagoon acts as a shelter for sailors to shelter from the rain & dodge the storm. There is a small beach hidden and reveals at low tide that long-tail boats can dock on the beach to relax and swim.

In addition to Pileh Lagoon, another highlight of the Phi Phi Islands is the “Viking Cave”, a cave shack on the edge of the cliff that has become a habitat for sea swallows.  Inside there are also color paintings & ancient ships in dark corners of caves. And…finally, we’d like to thank you for your time here. We wish you all the best: love, happiness & healthiness !!! So have a great day & weekend !!! Goodbye now….!!!  :))

Incidentally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Maya Bay has become more naturally rich & fully restored. There are many small & big fish, including the highlight “Black Creepy Sharks” that circled around for us to see in the largest number of years. Until this year 2023, Thai tourism is becoming more relaxed and lively, and…the tourists are influx in large numbers. For this reason, the black creepy sharks used to live in Maya Bay, began to gradually disappear after the return of tourists.

Therefore…Nopparat Thara National Park-Phi Phi Islands realize the importance of ecotourism. There must be more rules, conditions and regulations for tourists who want to travel to Maya Bay during this peak season. In order to help preserve the natural environment and habitat animals, it is also the preservation of tourist area, which is the important highlight of Thailand, to remain known as “The Paradise of the Andaman” for a long time….!!!

There is no tourism during the rainy season in order to allow the nature to recover for more than 2 months. So…whoever is waiting for experiencing the magnificent beauty of  Maya Bay , which is like “A World-Class Dream Destination” should pack your bags and go….!!!

How to get to Maya Bay : 45 minutes by longtail boat or speedboat from Krabi, or 30 minutes from Ao Nang  with the boarding point at Losama Bay, and should book tours or boat tickets in advance.

Recommended Activity : Sunbathing, Beautiful scenery, Photograph-stalagmites and stalactites. If you want to swim or snorkel, the beach behind Maya Bay will be required. The amount of time spent on the premises is 1-2 hours.

We would like to recommend you this wonderful & amazing place. Certainly, that is “Thale Waek <Separated Sea>”. It is located in Ao Nang Subdistrict, Mueang Krabi District, Krabi Province. It is a natural tourist attraction of Krabi province that has been known as “The Unseen Thailand” that is famous all over the world. Due to the wonder of nature at low tide that blows the grains of sand together at this point, causing a phenomenon called “Separated Sea” and revealing parts of the fine white sand dunes, stretching in a long line to connect with each other among 3 islands. They are Chicken Island <Koh Kai>, Koh Mho & Koh Thap. And…the sandbar will gradually disappear beneath the water, when entering the high tide of each day.

Thale Waek is the wonder of the world created by nature. You have to see it with your eyes once in your life. It is caused by the rising and falling water level, which is beautiful after the sea water decreases. In addition to the beauty of the sea, it is also a beautiful beach that is perfect for swimming because of its wide beach line and clear water. It is the perfect place to visit : the beauty of the  clear and playful waters, white sandy beach, which can be called “Natural Heritage of Thailand” because of the abundance of the island with hen bats (flying foxes). For once in your life, you must visit this place.

Believe… that whoever has never visited Krabi would like to choose to go to the sea to see for yourself once. The sea…that breaks until there is a sandbar to walk connected to 3 islands. How exciting it feels…!!! This only happens when the sea drops each day (during the breakout). When the sea recedes, it looks like the sea is separated. The sandbar will gradually emerge from the water, connecting 3 islands together. Now you can walk across the sea. <Woo-hoo !!!>

The highlight of the sea is to take in the scenery and take beautiful photos. Of course, if you want to make beautiful pictures, you’ll have to avoid long weekends and festivals. The pictures that come out will see people everywhere because there will be a lot of people there at that time. It is best if anyone admires for photoshoots, it’ll be better to come during a typical weekend or weekday.
