Hello…..everyone there….!!! How are you keeping ? We hope you are very well. We have an interesting topic to introduce you today. That is “Koh Phi Phi or Phi Phi Islands”. They are located in the middle of the Andaman Sea, 42 kilometers away from Mueang Krabi District, Krabi Province. It is a part of Nopparat Thara Beach-Phi Phi Islands National Park which contains 2 big islands: Koh Phi Phi Don & Koh Phi Phi Le, and 4 smaller islands nearby: Koh Yung, Koh Mai Phai, Koh Pida Nok & Koh Pida Nai. They are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The islands are reachable by ferries, speedboats or long-tail boats, most often from Krabi Town or from ports in Phuket Province.
Phi Phi Don Island and Phi Phi Le Island are the culmination of the main attractions. It is characterized by an cove or a big bay with clean & white sandy beaches that are worth swimming and coral reef watching. Phi Phi Don used to be one of the top 10 most beautiful islands in the world. There are also accommodations, restaurants and complete facilities. Phi Phi Island also consists of 2 bays that are twin coves: Ton Sai Bay and Loh Dalum Bay, separated by small plains and shady with coconut trees. The highlight of the island is the world’s most beautiful twin coves of Ton Sai Bay and Loh Dalum Bay. There are a number of accommodations and shops available. From Ton Sai Bay, you can walk up the mountain to the viewpoint overlooking the twin coves.
Most of tourists visiting this island come to dive, snorkeling, and see beautiful sea anemones & colorful fish. These beautiful islands have plenty for you to photograph, discover, explore, and their natural beauty will be sure to incite a sense of wonder in you. The waters surrounding the Phi Phi Islands are filled with exotic marine life, including docile leopard sharks. And… snorkeling & diving day trip rival lounging on the beach as top activities on Koh Phi Phi.
Koh Phi Phi also feathers a vibrant “Nightlife” with Tonsai Beach containing dozens of beach bars & restaurants and lively Tonsai village consisting of a maze of shops, bars and restaurants. Smaller beaches around the Island are alternatively ideal for honeymooners, families those on budget, and those looking for the ultimate luxury resort retreat.
Koh Phi Phi Le was feathered in the Hollywood blockbuster movie “The Beach”, a story about the ultimate secluded Island beach. Maya Beach was a suitable choice as it epitomizes the stunning beauty of these islands: a bay of pellucid aquamarine water surrounded by towering limestone cliffs that harbors an arcing, white sand beach.
Pileh Bay/ Lagoon is one of the highlights of Phi Phi Islands. The inlet in the middle of the sea is surrounded by cliffs almost 360 degrees high, and the turquoise water is calm, clear and playable without waves. It is comparable to a swimming pool in the middle of the sea. Before becoming a famous tourist attraction today, Pileh Lagoon acts as a shelter for sailors to shelter from the rain & dodge the storm. There is a small beach hidden and reveals at low tide that long-tail boats can dock on the beach to relax and swim.
In addition to Pileh Lagoon, another highlight of the Phi Phi Islands is the “Viking Cave”, a cave shack on the edge of the cliff that has become a habitat for sea swallows. Inside there are also color paintings & ancient ships in dark corners of caves. And…finally, we’d like to thank you for your time here. We wish you all the best: love, happiness & healthiness !!! So have a great day & weekend !!! Goodbye now….!!! :))
